What is it?
A kite trip for UK kitesurfers, including free riding, competitions and coaching tips held over two weeks. Sponsors on board so far are Red Bull and Liquid force. 19th big event day with local riders, tv coverage and big party with sponsorship from top sound system company.
Where is it?
Gokova ruzgar kitesports centre, Akyaka, Turkey.
Who is it for?
Everybody, from those who may be just learning to ride up-wind to riders considering or already on the competition circuit. All kitesurfers are advised to have of 3rd party insurance, it will be mandatory for people wishing to compete in any of the events, please bring proof.

Will there be anything for non kitesurfers to do?
Yes, right outside the main hotel "the Yuccelen" there is a public beach, the kite school is close by and can provide extra activities such as , boats trips, jeep safari, horse riding,
rafting, sea kayaking, pedelo and the water is crystal clear and warm for snorkelling.
Where is there close by to stay?
The guys at the kiteschool have arranged rates at the only 4* hotel in the area "the yuccelen", the rates are
BED & BREAKFAST € 26 per person/night (open buffet breakfast)
HALF BOARD STAY € 36 per person/night ((open buffet breakfast and dinner)
There are other places in the area also.
What airlines fly there and how much will flights cost?
Found some prices for flights for 14 days at under £200 return, most flights are Thomson and I only looked from Manchester at present but presume they will be similar prices from all airports.
How much will it cost to take my kit?

WEEKLY BEACH SERVICE FEE - € 60
for two weeks total fee is € 120.
This includes all beach and party transfers, entrance to all parties and competitions, transfer by boat to and assistance on the kite beach, torage and rescue services. The school is guarded at night and the storage room locked up. The price is per kiteboarder.
Evening entertainments, beach party, bbq, night boat party, trip to marmaris bar street.
Airport transfers From Dalaman Airport to hotel € 10 per person (min 4 people)
Will I need a wetsuit?
Safe bet would be to take a shortie but board shorts and rashie will probably suffice.
What size kites will I need?
The average wind stats for May are 15 - 22knots.

I have owned a property in Turkey for five years now and have kitesurfed at most of the local beaches around that area, including ones off the beaten track. I would highly recommend anybody who is thinking about this trip to go along as the conditions are fantastic. Turkey seems to get its best winds in the month of May. Thats why I will be there for six weeks next year through May/June. If I am about when you guys are there I will certainly pop over to Gokova and join in.
