2009 UPDATE
Gary Powell, owner and Senior Instructor of North West Kitesurfing is now in his second year as a BKSA National Trainer and has played an active role in the update and amendments to the BKSA teaching system. Part of his role involves working alongside other National Trainers ensuring all BKSA approved schools in the UK are working to high standards. This means that in 2009 NWKS students can be assured the highest standards of teaching at all levels. This alongside some great teaching locations will make your course with us very productive.
This year we will have two extra instructors who have been carefully chosen to ensure the same standards are upheld across the board. These instructors have already worked with NWKS briefly and are fully aware of our operating procedures, policies and locations.
We have also had changes to our safety craft. We are now running an X Cat with a 50hp Tohatsu outboard and we also have a 3 seater Seadoo Bombadier Jet Ski. Also to get the craft to the water with more ease we have a 400cc quad bike. Many hours are being spent with familiarisation of the new craft and vehicles and procedures are being updated ready for the 2009 season.
Early 2009 has seen the school face many improvements including a new 18’x8’ classroom and an additional store with 2 changing rooms. The adjacent public toilets have undergone a refurbishment including 4 fresh water showers, available to all NWKS students and visiting water sports enthusiasts.
