Welcome to NWKS. We aspire to provide top class tuition on all of our courses by adhering to the guidelines set out by the BKSA and IKO. In June 2007 we became a BKSA approved school proving our commitment to provide a top class service with strict safety measures and provide a good range of equipment. New to the school in spring 2007 a full range of Starkite Bow and “C” type school kites. All staff employed by NWKS are First Aiders, hold RYA powerboat level L2 certificate and the core crew have been CRB checked. We pride ourselves on being flexible with our customers and always do our best to ensure courses go ahead wherever possible.

New courses for 2008

We will also be offering improver courses for those who have reasonable board riding skills and wish to advance to skills like up-wind riding, jumping, change of direction etc.

We will be running the improver courses once a month covering all 3 skills in 3 x 1hour sessions over the day. This will enable students to take 1 or all 3 of the courses in one trip. There will be 1 hour breaks between the courses for practice sessions. Details in the courses section.

The same courses will be available throughout the summer evenings for a minimum of 2 people.

2008 UPDATE

Quite a lot has happened since 2007 for NWKS. Gary, owner and senior instructor has now qualified as a BKSA National Trainer. This new role working alongside 8 other National Trainers involves ensuring all schools in the UK are working to high standards to gain BKSA school approval.

This means that in 2008 NWKS students can expect even higher standards. We will at times have extra instructors who have been carefully chosen to ensure the same standards are upheld across the board. These instructors have already worked with NWKS briefly in 2007 and are fully aware of our operating procedures, policies and locations.

We have also had changes to our safety craft. We are now running the zap cat with a 50hp Tohatsu outboard and we have purchased a 3 seater Seadoo Bombadier Jet Ski. Also to get the craft to the water with more ease we have a 400cc quad bike. Many hours are being spent with familiarisation of the new vehicles and procedures are being updated ready for the spring.
